OVERLAND PARK & OLATHE, Kan., Oct. 2, 2024 — Heartland Soccer Association will host the Midwest All Girls Tournament from October 4-6 at the Garmin Olathe and Scheels Overland Park Soccer Complexes.

The event, the largest all-girls soccer tournaments in the Kansas City metro area, will feature over 300 teams from more than 10 states, including ECNL, NPL, and state and regional champions. Thousands of players, families, and supporters are expected, contributing to the local economy with an estimated $5.4 million boost over the weekend. The tournament has become a cornerstone of the fall soccer season, bringing together teams from across the Midwest for competitive play.

Heartland Soccer will also “Go Pink” at the tournament in support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Field marshals and staff will wear pink, and fans are encouraged to do the same to show their support. The initiative aims to remind women of the importance of regular mammograms and raise awareness for breast cancer research and prevention.

“The Midwest All Girls Tournament is a key event for our region, and we’re excited to welcome teams from across the Midwest,” said Shane Hackett, Executive Director of Heartland Soccer. “We’re proud to support breast cancer awareness while hosting top-tier soccer. It’s not just about the games—it’s about coming together to support a meaningful cause.”

Matches at the Garmin Olathe Soccer Complex will be live-streamed via VidSport’s advanced AI technology, allowing fans to watch remotely in real-time or access playback after the matches. VidSport will offer a new Highlight and Stats feature at the Midwest All Girls Tournament where participating teams can get personalized highlights and detailed data insights, helping players and coaches analyze their performance. This cutting-edge technology elevates the tournament experience, offering unique tools for both spectators and teams.

Media coverage is welcome during the event, which begins Friday at 5:30 p.m. and continues throughout the weekend.

Following the Midwest All Girls Tournament, Heartland Soccer will host the Heartland Invitational Tournaments, which are expected to attract more than 800 teams from across the Midwest. For more information about the Heartland Soccer Tournament Series, visit www.heartlandsoccer.net.
